A/B Testing

A/B testing is a method of comparing two versions of a webpage to see which one performs better. For example, an e-commerce store might show 50% of its visitors a green "Buy Now" button (Version A) and the other 50% a blue button (Version B) to see which color leads to more sales. In the context of web performance, A/B testing is used to measure the impact of a faster website. By comparing a group of users with Speed Kit enabled against a control group without it, businesses can directly measure the uplift in key metrics like conversion rate. However, accurately A/B testing for speed introduces unique challenges, which are addressed by Speed Kit's Speed Impact Chart methodology.
