Browser Time
Browser Time refers to the work the user's own device (desktop or mobile) must do to turn website code into a visible and interactive page. After the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files are downloaded, the browser must parse the code, construct the page layout, render the visuals, and execute the JavaScript. Complex websites with heavy JavaScript can create long Browser Time, leading to a sluggish user interface and poor Interaction to Next Paint (INP).
