Low-entropy images
Low-entropy images are images that contain large areas of uniform color, simple gradients, or repeating patterns, such as logos or simple graphics. Because they have less detail and randomness ("entropy"), they are highly compressible and can be saved as very small files. This is in contrast to high-entropy images, like detailed photographs, which have more complex data and are harder to compress.
