Origin Server

The origin server is the primary "home base" for a website. It is the computer or server cluster where the website's original application code, databases, and assets are hosted. All user requests must ultimately be handled by the origin server if the requested content is not available in a closer cache (like an Edge Cache or Service Worker Cache).
