QUIC is a modern transport layer network protocol that serves as the foundation for HTTP/3. It is designed for speed and is built on top of UDP instead of TCP. By integrating features like encryption and multiplexing directly, QUIC reduces connection setup time (RTT-0) and improves performance on unreliable networks by eliminating head-of-line blocking.
